The simplest things make me smile the most.Have youever had one of those days where you wake up, take a look outside and the sky is grey; it's raining and you think "Great, i haven't got an umbrella!"
But you get on your way regardless because you have an assignment to hand in.
It's freezing cold and blowing a gale outside, your hat flies off too many times to keep track of and your shawl tries to make a break for it. The cold you thought had gone starts to creep back as your nose begins to run and you feel yourself start to sniffle.
Finally getting to Uni (or wherever you're going) you see someone you know, stop to chat and feel that even a few simple sentences exchanged hurriedly bring a smile to your face.
This genuinely happened to me today!
And i swear on my life it stopped raining, the sun came out and i had a smile i couldn't (and still can't) get rid of.
Things like this prove the point of the simplest things bringing the most happiness...
I feel like doing this right now
In other news:
I might be going to a friend's Thanksgiving part-ay later. She's from the US and usually has a celebratory pumpkin pie eating at her house and then we trudle off to the pub to get drunk afterwards.
I'm going to wear my 'ugly' sweater (which is actually a beloved 1980's Vintage jumper which i adore)
